PHUNG HAUNG DONG TIEN

HISTORY OF PHOENIX

"The Blackened Bird"

THERE IS A PATH NO FOWL KNOWETH AND WHICH THE FALCON'S EYE HATH NOT SEEN;
THE LION'S WHELPS HAVE NOT TRODDEN IT, NOR THE FIERCE LION PASSED:

The men of Phoenix became lions, they were the Hunters.  Few had nightmares from their duties, and none would ever fall victim to delayed stress syndrome, for they were not the prey, they were the lions, and lions know no such fear.

The men of Phung Hoang Dong Tien, at least seven of them, became as a club, a group of men depending on each other, not for personal safety, but for personal sanity, for if all seven men acted as one, how could they then be insane.  They became hunters of human kind.

"THE GATEWAY TO HELL"

In ancient time rulers, in order to govern effectively, had to resort to the actions of others to accomplish their desires, thus the "Ninja" was born.  The ruler, called the Shogun, depended on the Ninja to do all the dark deeds, in Phoenix, called "Black Projects," he couldn't publicly do himself.  Murder, arson, theft, character assignation, all the things that are absolutely indispensable if a leader is to govern effectively without squandering the trust and respect of his subjects.  This was around 1615, the Year of the Rabbit and the Hour of the Tiger.  In 1967, Shogun, The United States Government, had cause to turn a few of his subjects into Ninja, at least seven of them, and this then was the Year of the Rat, Hour of the Snake.  This path was the Gateway to Hell.

As standard equipment most men carried "Hush Puppys," a Mark 22, Model O, used 9mm ammo, and had a 5' barrel equipped with a silencer.  This weapon, along with the fact that each could kill with their hands, had only one other thing in common, they were insane.

Better introduce to you the most important member of the team, he kept the team awake for days at a time, erased the deeds committed from the mind, yeh, and allowed peace to enter the soul, at least for a time.  His name was "The Green Hornet," a green capsule containing a mixture of Benzedrine, an amphetamine which stimulated the central nervous system, Dexamil, a synthetic steroid which stimulated the adrenal gland, which produced adrenaline, which made a man super-human, and then there was Reserpine, commonly used to treat high blood pressure and also mental patients, but this drug also keeps the mongoose killing the cobra, for reserpine is extracted from the Rauwolfia serpintina plant, common in India, where the mongoose diet consists of this plant, which stimulates his senses, which causes him to be more effective than the Cobra.  Also treats tension states.  Come to think of it, Fakirs use this to convince themselves that they really fly.  Put all this together in one capsule and to put it simply, the "Green Hornet" was a capsule that caused a man to act faster than normal, stimulated his nervous system, and yet controlled that same tension state.  A man could feel his heart speed up, the head would throb, and it felt as if the brain was actually growing.  It gave the man his own personal radar, and his senses were fine-tuned to an extreme pitch.  Every nerve ending was sensitive to sound, sight, and smell and it seemed as if a receiver was in the brain.  Put all this together, a man could stay awake for days, fight, function, and not lose his mind.  The Green Hornet was used extensively in training, particularly the qonset huts during night-day training.
